The two-day coaches’ refresher training organized by the Negros Occidental Regional Football Association (NORFA) and San Carlos City Negros Football Club (SCCNFC) wrapped up with a final practical session at the SJRI field in Negros Occidental’s San Carlos City.
SCCNFC Technical Director Elvin Marcellana said the session highlighted a progressive approach to football, covering warm-ups, positioning, and playing styles crucial in developing both offensive and defensive skills.
He noted that while coaches employ different philosophies in formations and strategies, these elements are vital in shaping a team’s overall performance.
Union of European Football Associations pro license coach Joan Segura Farre, who also conducted the session, emphasized the importance of building up the attack while maintaining discipline among participants.
Marcellana expressed hope that the knowledge gained by the coaches and players would be applied in training and preparation for upcoming tournaments./ASC, WDJ
