Tropical Depression (TD) “Fabian” exited the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) last night, the weather bureau said.

“Fabian” was located 245 kilometers west of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte as of 4:00 p.m. yesterday, moving northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour (kph).

It packs maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center, and gustiness of up to 55 kph.

“Fabian” is forecast to weaken into a remnant low as it exits the PAR.

No tropical cyclone signal is hoisted, and “Fabian” is unlikely to directly affect the country’s weather condition, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

“Fabian,” however, continues to bring moderate seas in the coastal waters of Northern Luzon.

Mariners of motor bancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to the sea.

Meanwhile, the prevailing southwest monsoon will continue to bring rains over most parts of the country, Pagasa said. (PNA)
