The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) hailed the Buglas Futbol Girls Under-15 team’s runner-up finish in the 33rd Kanga Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament held recently at Southwells Park in Canberra, Australia.
In a post on their official social media page, PFF commended the Negros Island Region-based squad for their impressive showing against the Rouse Hill Rams Soccer Club in the gold medal round.
“PFF congratulates our all-Negrense U15 Girls team for winning the silver medal at the 33rd Kanga Cup International Junior Soccer Tournament!” the PFF said.
The Buglas Futbol concluded the elimination round with a perfect 3-0-0 record and also won their semis game before tasting their lone loss in the finals match.
Among the members of the team are Gavriel Animathea Lomugdang, Claudia Elise Montinola, Renee Gavriel Animathea Lomugdang, Shanel Dominique Molequin, Angel Nicole Segovia, and Hushlee Lhannia de Larrazabal, as well as Anara Ysabel Yasay from Bacolod City.
Also in the squad are Jhayne Elainne Dalogdog from Negros Occidental’s Escalante City, Erika Rose Jamio, Shine Sales from Negros Oriental’s Guihulngan City, Kelsy Skye Anub, Emma Teves, and Chloe Pasana from Dumaguete City./ASC, WDJ
