The Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts and RGG Farms claimed the crowns in the 18-and-under and 15-and-under categories of the 4th Acster Cup Pasalamat sa Pag-asenso 2025 in Bacolod City.
The Thunderbolts clinched the championship in the 18-and-under division after edging out the Bobcats in a tightly fought championship match, 69-63.
John Steven Sondia led the scoring for the Thunderbolts with 16 points.
Daniel Sigaya contributed 15 markers, while Jeric Santisteban ended up with 11 markers in the victory.
The Thunderbolts held a commanding 64-50 lead with five minutes left in the fourth quarter.
However, the Bobcats mounted a furious 13-0 run to cut the deficit to a single point.
The Bobcats had a chance to take the lead, but they failed to capitalize.
The Thunderbolts then went on a 5-0 blast behind Jerry Binguan III, Michael Velasco and Sigaya to seal the win.
Kyle Matthew Barrieta led the way for the Bobcats with 27 points, while Zaily John Rasmo added 17 markers in the loss.
Sondia was named Most Valuable Player of the division.
He was joined by his teammates Binguan and Santisteban, along with Rasmo and Barrieta in the Mythical Five.
In the 15-and-under division, RGG Farms avenged their only loss of the tournament with a commanding 88-68 victory over SP Lineage-St. Joseph School La Salle.
Dwyane Madrigal and Denden Enriquez led RGG Farms with 21 points each, while Hashim Mampao and Nicus Robert Calma added 15 and 11 markers, respectively.
SP Lineage was paced by Brielle Justine Biocon with 21 points, followed by Jabez Honorario with 17 markers.
Jan Christof Arcega and Arvhey Mahilum added 10 points each.
Enriquez was named MVP of the 15-and-under division.
He was joined in the Mythical Five by Nonoy Panisales, Jabez Honorario, Dwyane Madrigal, and Seth Guarino.
Championship teams in each division received P50,000 and a trophy.
First runners-up received P30,000, second runners-up P15,000, and third runners-up P10,000./ASC, WDJ
