4th Acster Cup semis underway this weekend

After an exciting round of quarterfinal matches, the 4th Acster Cup Pasalamat sa Pag-asenso 2025 basketball tournament will head to the semis round at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) Covered Court and the Willy and Nonita Au Court this weekend.

The 18-under semifinals will be between SP Kap Odol and the Bobcats at 12:30 p.m.

At 1:50 p.m., the Bobcats will go up against the SJS–LS SP Lineage in the 15-under division, followed by the RGG Farms vs. BTTHS battle at 3:10 p.m. in the same age group.

The day concludes with a highly anticipated 18-under matchup between BTTHS and Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m.

During the quarterfinals round last week, the Yope Meerkats outpaced St. John’s Institute (SJI) with a commanding 70-50 win, while BTTHS-Willtrade dominated the Negros Youth Basketball Club (NYBC), 92-49.

The SP Warriors advanced with a 69-53 victory over St. Sebastian International School (SSIS), and Kenn cruised past Talisay Sharks, 105-30, in the 11-under division.

The 13-under division saw Kenn besting the SP Warriors, 76-53, while SSIS edged out Bound Diri, 68-55.

BTTHS overpowered Yope Meerkats, 71-33, and the Bobcats proved too much for NYBC, defeating them 70-34.

In the 15-under division, the Bobcats took down NYBC with a score of 74-36.

St. Joseph School–La Salle (SP Lineage) beat Bacolod Trinity Christian School, 60-41, and BTTHS rolled past Pitbull, 82-45.

RGG Farms delivered a dominant performance against D12, winning 103-55.

Meanwhile, in the 18-under division, Notre Dame triumphed over Distrito, 74-54.

Kap Odol edged SJI in a thrilling finish, 72-71. BTTHS held strong to defeat the Spartans, 80-71, and the Bobcats outlasted SSIS, 89-75, in another intense match-up.
