Two passengers of a pickup truck lost their lives following a head-on collision with a truck along Circumferential Road at Barangay Efegenio Lizares in Negros Occidental’s Talisay City at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.
The pick-up driver, Nilo Epanto Domingo, succumbed to his injuries early yesterday morning, while the rear passenger, Ronjun Caballero, was declared dead on arrival at the hospital, police said.
Another passenger, Paul Simon Puertillano, remains hospitalized and is receiving medical treatment for his injuries.
Police said the truck driver, 50-year-old Galy Antipatian from Sagay City’s Barangay Paraiso, was also injured and is currently under hospital care.
Talisay police chief Major Rhazl Jim Jocson said the truck was traveling toward Bacolod City and attempted to overtake another vehicle but lost control in Hacienda Tibay Lopez.
