Negrense swimmer Coraline Montalbo has been included in the national training pool under the supervision of the Philippine Finswimming Federation Inc.

The Bacolod Tay Tung High School standout’s inclusion in the national pool was formalized in a letter from the Philippine Sports Commission.

“I would like to thank the Lord, my coaches, my family, and friends that I was able to qualify for the finswimming team,” Montalbo said in a statement sent to Watchmen Daily Journal.

“I am very grateful for this opportunity and I will work even harder so that I won’t disappoint the federation and the people who support me,” she added.

Montalbo, a many-time gold medal winner while representing Tay Tung, is now regularly training in Metro Manila as part of the pool./ASC, WDJ
