Negrense Samjosef Belangel struggled offensively as the Daegu Korea Gas Corporation Pegasus bowed to the Seoul SK Knights, 89-69, in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) at the Jamsil School Gymnasium on Sunday, March 9.

The former Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles star finished with just four points, on 2-of-8 field goal shooting, to go with six assists and three rebounds, as the Pegasus dropped to a 22-21 record.

“The parts that we prepared from the first half did not come out. The gap widened because we did not focus on defense and gave up many fast breaks,” Pegasus head coach Kang Hyuk said.

Kim Sun-hyung led the way for the SK Knights with 22 points.

Jameel Warney added 18 points and nine rebounds as they remained on top of the standings with a 36-8 win-loss slate.

Ahn Young-joon finished with a triple-double of 11 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Jaehyun Oh contributed 10 markers, while Juan Gomez de Liaño tallied three points, one rebound and a steal.

Andrew Nicholson paced the slumping Pegasus with 17 points and five rebounds.

Kim Jun-il added a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds./ASC, WDJ
