Negrense Alyssa Bertolano failed to find her offense going as the Farm Fresh Foxies suffered a 25-20, 25-17, 25-19 defeat to the PLDT High Speed Hitters in the PVL 2nd All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Tuesday night, February 4.

The Negros Occidental’s Talisay City native volleybelle was held to just two points as the Foxies failed to secure their second consecutive victory to drop to a 4-5 win-loss record.

Savannah Davison spearheaded the offense with 26 points, including the last four points, which wrapped up the High Speed Hitters’ sixth victory in nine matches to move up to 6-3 in the standings.

Rookie setter Angeline Alcantara also made her presence felt with 12 excellent sets and four points to be named Player of the Game for the High Speed Hitters.

“We prepared well for this game, knowing Farm Fresh wouldn’t go down easily. We’re happy to have dominated,” the former Adamson University Lady Falcons playmaker said in a post-game interview.

Mika Reyes tallied 10 points, while Erika Santos, Majoy Baron and Fiola Ceballos chipped in nine, eight and six markers, respectively, for the High Speed Hitters.

Trisha Tubu, who finished with a career-high of 33 points in Farm Fresh’s previous game against the Galeries Tower Highrisers, managed only nine points, while Caitlin Viray finished with six points./ASC, WDJ
