Five individuals were arrested during a drug buy-bust operation at Barangay 4 in Negros Occidental’s Kabankalan City, which led to the confiscation of an estimated P1.4 million worth of suspected illegal drugs on Wednesday afternoon, November 13.

The operation targeted 38-year-old Helen Garaygay, identified as the main subject of the bust.

Four other suspects were apprehended: 32-year-old Aljohn Jimenez, 31-year-old Honey Escorial, 41-year-old Mat Francisco, all residents of Kabankalan City; and 44-year-old Jeffrey Majan, a resident of Himamaylan City.

Authorities recovered 35 plastic sachets and four plastic packs containing suspected shabu, weighing a total of 220 grams.

Also seized were various drug paraphernalia, further linking the suspects to the illegal drug trade.
