The Biñan Tatak Gel 1-Pacman Partylist Volley Angels stretched their hot streak in the 2024 MPVA Season after a dominant 25-16, 25-16, 25-24 triumph over the Negros ICC Blue Hawks at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna on Thursday, October 17.

Erika Jin Deloria delivered another stellar game, finishing with 19 points on 18 attacks and a service ace as the Volley Angels notched their third consecutive victory for a 9-5 win-loss slate.

“Everyone in the team can step up naman when needed,” Deloria said in a post-game interview.

“If kailangan nila ako maging suporta sa kanila, I am willing to do it, and kung kailangan nila akong mag-step up, I will also do it,” she said.

“Naniniwala naman ako na everyone na nasa bench can contribute. Kailangan lang din nilang hanapin ‘yung kumpyansa sa sarili nila, and may tiwala naman kami sa isa’t isa,” the former Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts standout added.

The Blue Hawks, the runner-up finishers in the inaugural MPVA Season, continued their slide as they dropped to a 4-9 win-loss card.

Meanwhile, the San Juan Lady Knights-Go for Gold cruised to their third consecutive victory as they escaped the Valenzuela Classy in five sets, 25-8, 25-10, 19-25, 15-25, 15-10.

Greghelle Grace Cabadin stepped up offensively for the Lady Knights with 15 points, on 11 attacks and four service aces, as they notched their third consecutive win for a 6-7 win-loss card.

“Hindi na rin namin ine-expect na makakakuha pa din kami ng set [after ng second set], pero binago namin ‘yung mindset namin sa third and fourth sets, and mas ginusto naming makuha ‘yung sets na ‘yun, kaya nag-teamwork kami,” Cabadin said.

“Mas gagawin naming motivation itong panalo na ito para mas makapasok pa sa Top 4, basta mas gugustuhin lang naming manalo sa pamamagitan ng teamwork,” she added.

On the other hand, the Classy remained in eighth place in the standings with a 2-10 win-loss card./ASC, WDJ
