The Negros Silvergraces Muscovados formally clinched the eighth and last playoffs seat in the Southern Division of the 2024 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Season.

The post-season seat was secured by the Bonnie Garcia-mentored Muscovados after finishing the eliminations with a 12-16 win-loss slate, just ahead of the 11-17 of the Iloilo United Royals.

“We are deeply grateful for all the support for the Team Negros Silvergraces Muscovados,” the team said in a statement.

“Thank you everyone for believing in us and standing with us up to the end! Bato Negros!”

This was Muscovados’ first-ever MPBL post-season appearance since entering the league in 2021.

The Muscovados opened the season with three straight wins before they struggled with consecutive losses.

They managed to arrest their skid after making mid-season roster changes.

The Muscovados will kick off their best-of-three division quarterfinals series against the Southern Division top-seed Quezon Huskers on October 7./ASC, WDJ
