Negrense point guard John Paul Calvo has parted ways with the Terrafirma Dyip after six PBA seasons.

Dyip team manager Ronald Tubid confirmed that the former Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights point guard was not given a contract extension after his previous deal expired.

It was learned that the Negros Occidental’s Silay City-native Calvo is set to sign a contract with the South Cotabato Warriors for the remainder of the 2024 MPBL Season.

Calvo was a former standout of Hua Siong College of Iloilo Red Phoenix before he was recruited to play for the Knights in college.

Meanwhile, aside from Calvo, the Dyip have also opted not to extend the contract of burly center Eric James Camson.

Camson, who has been with the franchise since 2017, is now a free agent and can freely sign with any PBA team that will have interest in him./ASC, WDJ
