The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Northern Negros Occidental has a new station commander.

Coast Guard Commander Joe Luviz Mercurio formally turned over his duties to incoming PCG-Northern NegOcc Commander Paterno Belarmino, Jr. yesterday.

The turnover ceremony, presided over by Coast Guard District in Western Visayas commander, Captain Weniel Azcuna, was held at their headquarters at Bo. Obrero in Iloilo City’s Lapuz District.

Belarmino, in turn, also relinquished his duties to Commander Jan Terazona, who is now the incoming station commander of Coast Guard Station-Iloilo.

Mercurio and Belarmino also received the Coast Guard Merit Medal and Ribbon in recognition of their meritorious achievements./DGB, WDJ
