The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod has demanded an explanation from the Bacolod City Water District (Baciwa) and PrimeWater Infrastructure Inc. in relation to water supply shortage experienced by some consumers.

Councilor Israel Salanga, in a resolution, requested the firms to include in their letter their actions to address the shortage, including turbid water flowing from consumers’ faucets.

Their concerns were usually posted on social media, the councilor added.

Numerous complaints of inadequate water supply and turbid water have been brought to SP’s attention.

Salanga has requested PrimeWater and Baciwa to promptly address the concerns to achieve its goal of providing potable, reliable and sustainable water supply to the residents./MS, WDJ
