Six houses were destroyed following two separate blazes in Bacolod City over the weekend.
A residential fire destroyed five homes and damaged another one in Barangay 1’s Purok Bolinao on Saturday, December 23.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Bacolod said the blaze started at 6:30 p.m. in the house of a certain Raffy Tragona.
The fire reached “second alarm” status, which required the deployment of at least eight fire trucks.
Most houses were made of light materials.
A fire out was declared at 7:28 p.m., with damage estimated to be around P100,000.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Arson investigators are still trying to determine what caused the blaze.

The BFP received a fire call at the house of 38-year-old Noefe Alonsabe, Sr.
The firefighters managed to douse the blaze in less than 15 minutes, but damage was estimated at P180,000./DGB, WDJ
