Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson confirmed yesterday that he will run for the third and final term in the midterm elections in 2025.
Lacson said he has yet to hold a meeting with his local political party, Love Negros, over their plans for the upcoming polls.
Earlier this week, the United Negros Alliance (UNegA) announced that they are currently eyeing three government officials to run for vice governor in Negros Occidental.
Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer is currently looking to run as congressman in the 4th district, replacing his spouse, Juliet.
Lacson said he has no problems as to who UNegA will be fielding for vice governor, as the coalition between their parties remains strong./DGB, WDJ
