As part of the plan to improve Bacolod City’s health system, five mini-hospitals will be established as soon as the P5.5 billion loan is released this year.

Mayor Alfredo Benitez noticed that hospitals in the city were overcrowded.

“Mga hospitals nagagutok, nagapila mga tawo. Indi ‘ta kahatag sang medical services kay overcrowded na ang aton hospitals,” Benitez said.

The construction of the mini-hospitals will be sourced from the P5.5 billion bank loan of the city government once released.

The city will allocate P50 million for each mini-hospital.

Part of the loan is the P600 million fund for the construction of the legislative building, the acquisition of lots for the establishment of a new sanitary landfill and others.

The mini-hospitals will be strategically established across the city./MS, WDJ
