A security guard was shot dead by still unidentified motorists whom he confronted on Lacson Street in Bacolod City’s Barangay 5, late Thursday night, March 2.
Jofen Dequito, 42 years old, a resident of Hacienda Bernabe II at Barangay Salvacion in Negros Occidental’s Murcia town, confronted a group of motorists over a parking slot, Police Station 2 commander, Captain Jonito Pastrana said.
The suspects ignored the security guard and went inside a bar for a drink.
Later, one of them exited the bar, went to his motorcycle, opened the seat compartment to get his firearm, and shot the security guard multiple times.
The suspects then took Dequito’s service firearm and immediately fled the crime scene.
Pastrana said they are now trying to review some footage from closed-circuit television cameras in the area for the identification of the suspects./DGB, WDJ
