Negros Occidental’s La Carlota City has topped the 31 local government units (LGUs) in the province with 392 dengue cases and one death as of October 29.
Data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) showed that aside from La Carlota City, 17 other LGUs logged triple-digit dengue cases since January this year.
The province’s Himamaylan City recorded 377 cases during the same period, Kabankalan City with 363 cases, Bago City with 342, San Carlos City with 325, Cadiz City with 292, Hinigaran town with 268, Binalbagan town with 246, Sagay City with 211, Pontevedra town with 202, Talisay City with 176, Cauayan town with 157, Calatrava town with 146, Silay City with 141, Isabela town with 128, and Murcia town with 112.
The remaining LGUs have single digit cases.
Candoni town records the lowest number of dengue cases.
Negros Occidental has a total of 4,964 dengue cases, of which 45 are new cases and 29 deaths./DGB, WDJ
