Valladolid woman yields 476K ‘shabu’ in Bago

Six big sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 70 grams and valued at P476,000 were confiscated from a woman following a drug buy-bust operation at the old public cemetery in Purok Mainuswagon, Barangay Sampinit in Bago City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday night.

Joint elements of Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6, Bago City Police Station and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Anti-Illegal Drugs Team arrested Rica Sharina Ginete alias “Kai-Cai” around 9:47 p.m.

Police said the 22-year-old Ginete, a resident of Purok Mahimayaon, Barangay Sa Guwabanwa in Valladolid town, was tagged as a high-value individual.

Also confiscated from Ginete was the P27,000 in buy-bust money.

Police investigation showed that the suspect had been selling illegal drugs in the areas of Bago City, Kabankalan City, La Carlota City, Pulupandan, and Valladolid.

Ginete is currently detained at the Bago City Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
