A jail visitor at the San Carlos City Police Station in Negros Occidental was arrested after he yielded a sachet of suspected shabu during a routine search.

Police identified the suspect as 36-year-old Gilbert Olid, a resident of Don Juan Street in the said city.
Based on information provided by the San Carlos City Police Station yesterday morning, Olid arrived at the police station last August 20 in order to visit a friend who is currently locked up at the station’s jail facility.
The cop who was assigned in guarding the jail facility then performed a routine pat down and search on Olid as part of their standard operating procedure.
As the cop was feeling the contents of one of the powdered detergents he noticed an unknown object mixed with the detergent.
He then noticed that the pouch of powdered detergent was already opened and was only closed again through the use of heat.
When the cop opened the pouch he discovered the sachet of suspected shabu inside prompting him to arrest Olid.
Olid yielded one small sachet of suspected shabu.
He is facing illegal drugs charges and is currently detained at the San Carlos City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
