Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson will deliver his State of the Province Address (SOPA) tomorrow during the regular session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

It will be broadcasted live via the official Facebook page of the provincial government of Negros Occidental.
Lacson said he will report to the Negrenses the accomplishments of his administration for the past year especially on how the province managed the situation on top of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said he will also present the achievements of the different capitol departments of what they have done in line with the promise of good service.
Meanwhile, reacting to the defeat of People’s champ Senator Manny Pacquiao to Yordenis Ugas on Sunday, Lacson said it was a convincing win for Ugas.
Pacquiao’s camp mentioned that he already had difficulties on his legs during the fourth round but he managed to finish the fight.
Lacson said, Pacquiao has reminded him actually of famous boxer Roberto Duran who was also very popular and was also considered as a people’s champ but continued to fight until the later years.
“Maybe the good senator should consider giving up his gloves. He has already given the country so much pride, fought a good fight and he has done his share for the country to be happy about. He will always be our People’s champ,” Lacson said.
The governor also suggested that if Pacquiao still wants to fight, he may give the country the first ever gold medal for boxing if he could be allowed to represent the country in boxing for the 2024 Olympic Games./DGB, WDJ
