A construction worker died after he got electrocuted around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, at a house located in Rizal Street, Barangay 1 in Negros Occidental’s La Carlota City.

Police identified the victim as 26-year-old Reggie Patricio, a resident of Hacienda Guadalupe in the city’s Barangay Ayungon. His co-workers immediately brought him to the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital but the attending physician pronounced him dead-on-arrival.

The victim was renovating the roof of the house of Novie Ann Liboon when he accidentally slipped and stepped on the main electrical line of the house, police said./WDJ
