A total of 81,587 individuals or 18.13 percent of Iloilo City’s target population have already been vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19, according to Iloilo City Local Vaccination Operation Center data.

Of the figure, 65,927 residents have already been inoculated with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine while 15,660 have already completed the two doses.

Data also showed that 63,931 vaccinees received Sinovac vaccines (48,311 for the first dose and 15,620 for the second dose) while 17,656 had Astrazeneca vaccines including the 40 individuals who got their second dose.

The data does not include yet those who were vaccinated for the month of July.

The city government opened five more vaccination sites last July 5, and were able to vaccinate a total of 6,398 individuals.

Iloilo City has a target population of 450,000 to reach the herd immunity. (Glenda Tayona)/WDJ
