A 37-year-old fish vendor was arrested over charges of violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Jomar Jalandoni alias “Janjan,” a resident of CBC Paet Relocation, Barangay Batuan in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental and tagged as a street level drug target, was caught in a drug buy-bust operation in the said village’s Hacienda Fe on Tuesday afternoon, a police report showed.

Joint operatives of the La Carlota City Police Station and 2nd Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company confiscated three heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P6,800; P1,000 in buy-bust money; a cellular phone; a coin purse; and a motorcycle.

Police report showed that the suspect was monitored to be engaged in peddling illegal drugs in the city.

Jalandoni is now detained at the La Carlota City Police Station./WDJ
