Milwaukee Bucks widened its winning run in the 2020-2021 NBA Season with a 121-119 beating of Boston Celtics on Wednesday night (Thursday in the Philippines) at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Khris Middleton led the way with 27 points and 13 rebounds, while Bobby Portis chipped in 21 markers as the Bucks stretched its winning run to eight to improve to 29-14.
Brook Lopez and Donte DiVincenzo chipped in 17 markers apiece, while Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday had 13 points each for the streaking Bucks.
Milwaukee were ahead for most part of the match and were up 103-88 early in the fourth quarter before Boston countered with a huge run to come to within 119-121.
The Celtics even had a chance to win it on triple attempts by Jaylen Brown and Daniel Theis and a two-point try by Marcus Smart but was prevented by the defense.
Brown finished the match with double-double 24 points and 10 rebounds, Kemba Walker added 23 markers for the Celtics, which dropped to 21-23 following the loss.
Meanwhile, Toronto Raptors (18-26) snapped its nine-game losing skid with a victory over Denver Nuggets (26-18). It was the Raptors’ first win this March.
Pascal Siakam tallied 27 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while OJ Anunoby and Norman Powell chipped in 23 and 22 markers, respectively, for the Raptors.
Indiana Pacers (20-23), on the other hand, got back on the winning track with a 116-111 win over Detroit Pistons (12-31). Caris LeVert top-scored for the Pacers with 28 points, Malcolm Brogdon added 16 markers.
In other results, Orlando Magic stunned Phoenix Suns, 112-111; Memphis Grizzlies edged Oklahoma City Thunder, 116-107; Dallas Mavericks walloped Minnesota Timberwolves, 128-101; Charlotte Hornets tripped Houston Rockets, 122-97; and Cleveland Cavaliers beat Chicago Bulls, 103-94.
