Personnel from the San Carlos City Police Station underwent a surprise drug test conducted by the city’s Anti-Drug Abuse Council on Tuesday morning, March 3.
At least 53 police officers and non-uniformed personnel led by San Carlos City Police Station chief, Police Lt. Colonel Arthur Baybayan, were gathered to undergo drug testing which was facilitated by the staff from the City Health Office.
Baybayan said the activity is in line with the internal cleansing program of the Philippine National Police, where they want to make sure that law enforcers are drug free so that the community will trust and respect police officers.
Analiza Macaraya, Secretariat for the city’s Anti-Drug Abuse Council, said they will always conduct surprise drug tests on different city government offices as part of the city’s mandate of keeping their workplace drug free./DGB, WDJ
