The Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Step 2 Registration of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) for Bacolod City and Negros Occidental will start this month.

The PSA Step 2 Registration is the validation of supporting documents and capturing of biometric information at registration centers.

The PSA has started the gradual and small-scale basis registration on January 4 in selected provinces.

Chief Statistical Specialist Luis Gonzales of the Provincial Statistics Office said they are informing those who were pre-registered in 2020 who may not have received a text message from PSA Central Office regarding the postponement of their schedule.

The PSA has made significant progress this quarter with more than 8.4 million Filipinos completing Step 1 Registration as of December 9, 2020./WDJ
