Two brothers hacked a man to death in Hacienda Napilas Siete, located in Silay City, Negros Occidental’s Barangay E. Lopez around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9.

Silay City Police Station deputy police chief, Police Lieutenant Guilmor Cuare, identified the victim as 37-year-old John Galagate of the said place.

Galagate sustained multiple hack wounds on the body, which resulted in his death.

Silay City police investigation revealed that the victim was walking on his way home when suspects Ronald and Ronilo Panaguiton suddenly came out of the sugarcane plantation. They hacked the victim using a sugarcane cutter for no apparent reason, police added.

As of this writing, officers of the Police Station 7 are still conducting a manhunt operation against the suspects, who fled after the incident.

Police have yet to identify the motive in hacking./WDJ
