Tricycle driver shot dead in Bacolod

A tricycle driver was shot to death by riding-in-tandem suspects along circumferential road in Bacolod City’s Barangay Pahanocoy around 7:30 a.m. yesterday.

Bacolod City Police Station 8 identified the victim as 54-year old Noel Peraren, a resident of Purok Bantud of the said barangay.

Peraren sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the body resulting to his death, police said.

Police Station 8 investigation revealed that the victim was driving his tricycle traversing the circumferential road when he was shot by motorcycle-riding suspects.

Police also said that the victim was under probation after he was sentenced by the court for the crime of illegal possession of firearm in November 2016.

As of this writing, officers of Police Station 8 have yet to identify the suspects and the motive in the killing./WDJ
