The Bacolod City government received one complete set of sound system from a Fil-Am based in South San Francisco, California, who is also the current auditor of Rotary Club of Daly City-Colma Evening, USA.

The sound system is intended for the exclusive use of MassKara Festival dancers from the winning barangay should the city resume the celebration of the MassKara Festival in 2021.

Mayor Evelio Leonardia together with City Administrator Em Ang, Liga ng mga Barangay president Lady Gles Pallen, Executive Assistant Tere Manalili and Investment Promotions Officer Jonah Javier received the donation from Fil-Am JC Garcia.

The Rotary Club of Daly City-Colma Evening hosted the delegation of the Bacolod City Trade and Tourism Mission to USA 2019. The MassKara dance team from Bacolod City was the first group outside the US to perform at the San Francisco Filipino Cultural Center after the reopening of the center last year.

It was Leonardia, assisted by Ang and Consultant for Tourism Atty. John Orola, who initiated the Bacolod Trade and Tourism Mission to USA last year, to promote the city as a tourism and investment destination, among the large Fil-Am communities in the Bay Area and Southern California.

Ang, Manalili, Pallen and Javier were part of the delegation that attended the Trade and Tourism Mission where they met and became friends with Garcia./WDJ
