A member of the notorious Rondoy robbery group was arrested over the weekend after he tried to burglarize a pharmacy along Murcia Road in Bacolod City’s Barangay Mansilingan. Police identified the arrested as 29-year-old John John Ino, a resident of Purok 2 Jalandon in the city’s Barangay Banago.
Police Station 7 (PS7) commander, Police Lieutenant Florentino Abalayan, said, around 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, Ino broke into the pharmacy by destroying a portion of the roof. However, the establishment’s alarm system quickly alerted maintenance and security personnel.
The suspect was immediately arrested.
Police recovered the suspect’s backpack which contained an improvised shotgun, two units of 12-gauge ammunition, two pairs of scissors, a cutter, and P4,755 in cash.
Abalayan added, the leader of the robbery group had already been arrested but some members are still active.
