The 14-day quarantine for the 11 patients in Bacolod City under monitoring for the coronavirus disease, or Covid-19, has ended. Bacolod City Inter-Agency Task Force Against Novel Coronavirus spokesperson, Dr. Grace Tan, said the patients in question had recently traveled to areas affected by the virus.
The Bacolod City Health Office Environmental Sanitation Division head noted, while under quarantine, the patients remained in stable condition and did not exhibit symptoms associated with Covid-19. She added, as of Monday, February 24, there are currently no persons under investigation at any Bacolod City medical facilities.
With the virus currently spreading across several countries, the city government is requiring guests at local hotels, resorts, and accommodation establishments to complete health declaration cards that list their travel history and report any illnesses they may have experienced over the past 14 days.
Tan noted, such establishments are also required to submit daily reports and, so far, there have been no reports of guests suspected of contracting Covid-19./DGB, WDJ
