The family of the suspected drug offender from Iloilo whose remains were found in an empty lot in Bacolod City’s Barangay Cabug refused an autopsy be conducted. According to Police Station 9 (PS9) commander, Police Lt. Jonito Pastrana, said Nathan Serudo’s siblings arrived last Friday in order to transport their brother back to Iloilo City.
The family also filed an affidavit of non-interest in order to have the case closed.
The police official said they respect the family’s decision.
He noted, Serudo’s family acknowledged he was on a high-value drug target list in Iloilo but were not aware of why he was in Bacolod City.
Serudo’s body, which was believed to have been hogtied and shot multiple times, was discovered last week.
Law enforcement officials recovered several empty 9mm and .45 caliber shells from the crime scene./DGB, WDJ
