The Federation of the League of Population Officers and Workers in the Western Visayas, an association organized by the Commission on Population (PopCom), recently elected a new set of officers.
Ernie Asoy of the Bacolod City Population Office (CPO) was elected president; while Antique Provincial Population Officer (PPO) Primo Ogatis was named vice president for Panay and Guimaras; Kabankalan City health officer, Dr. Fernando Fernandez—vice president for Negros Occidental; Bago City Population Officer Romila Dormido—secretary; Iloilo CPO treasurer Mary Ann Ramos—treasurer; and Guimaras PPO Beneth Gabasa—public information officer;
Meanwhile, the board of directors is comprised of Passi City Population Officer Belcy Dumol; Negros Occidental PPO, Dr. Edmund Calaor; La Carlota City Population Officer Marissa Cagalawan; and Marimi Tormon of the Capiz Provincial Health Office.
The new federation president said he will focus on bringing “oneness” to the organization. (PR)
