The one stop-shop of the Iloilo City government located at the City Treasurer’s Office will be opened on weekends to accommodate business owners who will renew their  business permits this year.

According to Business Processing and Licensing Office (BPLO) head Norman Tabud, city hall has started accommodating applications for business permit renewal this January 2 and set January 20 as deadline.

During weekdays, the one-stop shop is open from 8 a.m. and extended until 9 p.m. while it will be opened from 8 a.m. to 5p.m. on weekends.

The BPLO head noted that they have also leveled up their services in terms of issuance of permit.

He said that this year, the business permit together with fire safety inspection certificate, sanitary permit and tourism permit are to be issued all at once.

In 2019, the BPLO had issued permits to a total of 16, 391 businesses in the city. For this year, they are targeting an increase or an additional 2,000 businesses./WDJ
