Passenger nabbed at Bredco Port after attempting to smuggle firearm

An Iloilo-bound passenger was arrested yesterday morning after he allegedly attempted to smuggle an improvised firearm inside the fastcraft terminal at the Bredco Port in Bacolod City.
Police identified the arrested as 21-year-old Denmark Dahildahil, a resident of the city’s Barangay Handumanan.
Information provided by Police Station 2 (PS2) said the suspect entered the terminal and, upon placing his baggage on the x-ray machine, security personnel discovered the firearm.
Dahildahil was nabbed on the spot and was handed over to police from the 603rd Maritime Police Station, and later to PS2.
Authorities recovered a pen gun with one 9mm bullet, along with one unit of 5.56mm ammunition.
Dahildahil faces charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and is detained at PS2./DGB, WDJ
