The Iloilo City government led the distribution of aid to families affected by the recent fire in the Jaro district’s Barangay Sambag during a ceremony at Iloilo Hall yesterday. Families whose homes were totally damages each received P5,000, while those with partially damages homes were each provided P2,000.
Meanwhile, the City Social Welfare and Development Office and Department of Social Welfare and Development regional office provided food and various necessities including hygiene kits, clothing, and sleeping mats.
Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said the assistance will “support displaced residents to recover fast and build their houses.”/WDJ
