NLEX Road Warriors guard Kevin Alas is set to make his return to the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup after being sidelined with an injury. The team is scheduled to meet NorthPort Batang Pier tonight at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“Maglalaro na siya just to get him going (He has been playing just to get him going),” explained NLEX head coach Joseller Guiao. “Let him feel how it is to be back in a competition.”
He noted, there were plans to have Alas play against the Magnolia Hotshots last weekend but it was eventually postponed.
“We postponed it kasi nasa [Ynares Center] ‘yung laban (We postponed it because we were playing at the Ynares Center),” the coach added, pointing out, the venue was where the Alas picked up his injury. “Pinostpone na muna namin ‘yung paglalaro ni Kevin (We briefly postponed Kevin’s return).”
