The National Police Commission-Region VI (Napolcom-6), led by director, Atty. Joseph Celis, held an entrance briefing at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) yesterday morning at Camp Alfredo Montelibano in Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.
During the briefing, six of the most compliant city and municipal police stations in the province were recognized with San Carlos City ranking first for cities, followed by Sipalay City and Victorias City; and EB Magalona topping municipalities, followed by Pulupandan and Valladolid.
The recognition is held annually to boost the morale of police stations and encourage them to continue their hard work.
Police chiefs from across the province were also present during the briefing and to receive their respective awards.
NOPPO director, Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, welcomed the inspecting team and reminded personnel, in compliance with marching orders from headquarters, they should conduct themselves appropriately and in accordance with the law.
In his message, Celis stressed, especially those new to the organization, police officers should observe customs and traditions of the Philippine National Police, which includes respect for authority and those of higher rank.
This entrance briefing marks the annual inspection of police stations in the province, which includes a management audit and monitoring of NOPPO police activities./DGB, WDJ
