The Creamline Cool Smashers made a short work of the BaliPure Purest Water Defenders over the weekend with a 25-8, 25-19, 25-14 win in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the San Juan Arena.
Alyssa Valdez tallied 18 points on 14 attacks for Creamline, alongside four service aces and eight excellent receptions; while Jessica Galanza chipped eight markers and seven excellent digs; and Julia Morado made her return from one-game absence to contribute 14 excellent sets.
“It’s really important for us to be confident going into the second round,” Morado noted.
In the other match, the PacificTown-Army Lady Troopers ended a three-match losing streak with a 25-18, 25-18, 25-13 win over the Chef’s Classics Red Spikers./ASC, WDJ
