The Creamline Cool Smashers remained unbeaten in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference following their recent 25-23, 28-26, 26-24 sweep over the PacificTown-Army Lady Troopers at the San Juan Arena.
Alyssa Valdez top-scored for Creamline with 18 points on 16 attacks, while Jessica Galanza had a double-double with 14 points and 14 excellent receptions, and Kyle Negrito added 18 excellent sets.
After close calls in the first two sets, Creamline were pressured in the third after trailing 12-5. However, Valdez and Galanza pushed the team and tied up the scored, 19-19.
After PacificTown-Army surged to a 22-19 edge, Valdez spearheaded another Creamline run for a 24-all count. She then went through a block as Pau Soriano sealed the match with a quick attack.
In the other match, BanKo Perlas Spikers scored a 19-25, 25-18, 25-21, 23-25, 15-12 win over BaliPure Purest Water Defenders./ASC, WDJ
