According to Iloilo City’s Office of the City Veterinarian, during their recent free anti-rabies vaccination drive, a total 25 pets were vaccinated between August 1 and 9.
During the event, seven pets were also spayed and neutered.
Based on a recent report from the Iloilo City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit, between January 1 and August 3, there was one rabies death recorded in the city this year. The same number was reported in Iloilo City last year.
Meanwhile, the Office of the City Veterinarian also issued health certificates as a means of providing proof in order to avoid the spread of rabies./WDJ
