Project upped from 4-5 stories to 7

After the Iloilo City government announced the City Engineer’s Office had been instructed last month to conduct a study into the possible construction of a multipurpose parking garage next to City Hall, Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said the project will be fast-tracked.
“We want to fast-track the establishment,” he affirmed.
The mayor previously projected the construction would be four-to-five stories with two floors dedicated to providing larger offices for members of the City Council; however, the finished structure is now expected to be seven stories.
“The first floor will host city offices so that it will be easier for the public to transact business,” Treñas explained. “The second to fifth floors will be designated as parking spaces.”
The two remaining floors will house the aforementioned offices.
He also noted, each parking level will be able to accommodate 25 vehicles.
“We hope it will address parking needs of City Hall,” the mayor added.
