JRU comes from behind to beat EAC

Jose Rizal University (JRU) recently pulled off a come-from-behind 64-58 win over Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) in the ongoing 95th NCAA senior men’s basketball season at the JRU gym.
JRU opened strong with John Amores draining back-to-back triples as EAC was held to just four points in the first 10 minutes. However, EAC managed to make a run in the second period and narrowed the gap to 32-25 at the half. They continued their run in the third period with JRU only adding six points to their tally.
Trailing 45-38 after three quarters, JRU went on a 16-2 run in the fourth quarter behind Amores and Chester Jungco to take a 54-47 lead. EAC made its final push while down 60-54 behind JP Maguliano but JRU tightened its defense as Amores and JL Delos Santos made free throws to open a double-digit lead.
Amores finished with 16 points and six rebounds./ASC, WDJ
