At least two people were injured over the weekend after they truck they were aboard lost control and overturned in Pontevedra’s Barangay Don Salvador Benedicto.
Police identified the two injured victims as Darry Esposo and a certain ‘Rhea Mae,’ a resident of Isabela.
Pontevedra municipal police traffic investigator, Police Master Sergeant Freddie Sornito, said the truck, driven by 50-year-old Erik Talamal, was heading back from a family outing. Upon reaching Sitio Tuburan, Talamal attempted to overtake a motorcycle but, due to slippery road conditions, his truck lost control and crashed.
The 21 other occupants of the truck managed to emerge unscathed, while the two victims were treated for minor injuries./DGB, WDJ
