Ginebra dominates Magnolia, 102-81

Coming back from a slow start, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel recently dominated the Magnolia Hotshots, 102-81, in the 2019 Honda PBA Commissioner’s Cup last Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Justin Brownlee led the win with 49 points and 20 rebounds; while Japeth Aguilar added 18 points; Stanley Pringle – 13; and LA Tenorio – 12.
Down by as much as 11 points in the opening quarter, Barangay Ginebra slowly battled back in the second period behind Brownlee and Earl Scottie Thompson, trimming the deficit to 47-46 at the half.
The Hotshots were still on top 58-53 in the third period when Barangay Ginebra went on a scoring spree behind Brownlee, Pringle, Tenorio, and Aguilar to seize a 78-64 advantage heading into the fourth.
Magnolia made its final push in the last quarter to come to as close as nine points but Ginebra completed a finishing run behind Brownlee, Aguilar, and Tenorio and earned their biggest lead of 21 points./ASC, WDJ
