Negrense takes part in Cultural Center of the Philippines playwright fellowship

Noel Pahayupan, a member of the Negros-based Performance Laboratory Inc., is currently taking part in the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Virgin Labfest 15 Writing Fellowship Program, which began on Tuesday in Manila and runs until July 7.
The program intends to help emerging playwrights study and practice dramatic writing.
Pahayupan is a graduate of the University of St. La Salle and an alumni of the school’s theatre group, the Maskara Theatre Ensemble.
Another former Maskara Theatre Ensemble member, Venise Buenaflor, who participated in last year’s fellowship, is currently featured in the play “Wala Nang Bata Dito,” which is being performed at Virgin Labfest./WDJ
