Pontevedra native called up to Asia-Pacific squad

Heinz Gabriel ‘Kobe’ Demisana of Pontevedra, who was earlier named to the Philippine Jr. NBA All-Star Team following the conclusion of the Jr. NBA/WNBA National Training Camp last month at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall in Pasay City, was called up to the Asia-Pacific team, which is set to compete in the Jr. NBA Global Championship. The competition is scheduled to take place from August 6 to 11 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida in the United States.
He is one of four Filipinos to join the regional squad alongside Camille Nolasco, Sebastian Reyes, and Lionel Matthew Rubico.
“Basketball has given me many opportunities, one of them being able to play in the Jr. NBA program,” said the Bacolod Tay Tung High School athlete. “I’m very proud to join the Asia-Pacific team.”
